My poor blog has been sorely neglected.  In the chaos of this past summer, a lot of things have been neglected.  It’s time to get back to what brings me joy.  One of those things is photography.  I’m going to take at least one picture each day to document life.  My life.  In it’s simplicity.  I love simplicity.  I despise drama.  In simplicity there is peace.  I want to focus and feature the things in my life that I am grateful for.

This is a dish cloth in the works.  I have been knitting my dish cloths for years and years.  My mother taught me how to make them, and I have never bought a dish cloth since.  I love the texture and how good they are for scrubbing.  My current cloths were in a very sad state.  I decided it was time to make some more.  I made 2 yesterday, and am working on this one today.  My boys like this one because it is “boy colors”.  I thought that was funny.  Perhaps they will feel inspired to use it then.   Not likely, but a mama can dream. 😉

I love knitting.  It’s relaxing.  I love the simple repetition of the task.  I love that I know this pattern so well, my mind can wander in any direction, and I won’t loose my place.  I love that with a little time and a bit of effort I am left with something that did not previously exist.  Something that I created.
